Day 7/22-
Statistics can be interpreted many ways and on the internet you can find find someone or some article that supports ANY interpretation. For the the purpose of this awareness campaign I am gong with a 2012 Suicide Data Report, which analyzed death certificates from 21 states, from 1999 to 2011. The writers of this report caution that their conclusions are not the only way to look at this data. I hope it is less. More recent reports from the VA indicate it IS less. I am sill going to do 22 pushups.
This is a good article I found (on the internet ;-)) for some context.

22 service men and women take their own lives every day, due to PTSD, depression and other factors. To create more awareness around this tragic situation, I am joining Jeff Caven, and others, in doing 22 push ups a day for 22 days. #22pushups #22kill
Nominating today any one of my Kapaa High School class of 81.
The rules are simple:
- Every day you record yourself doing 22 push-ups. Try your best to reach 22. If that means doing assisted (from your knees) push-ups or that you have to stop and take a break then that's fine but do try to get them all done in one video and please tag in your nominee and the person who nominated you !!!
- Every day, nominate a different person.
- Try to choose people you think will want to do this and/or have the ability to do it.
Thanks Wayde Grinstead Amal Easton and Lani Wilcox, Joseph Illingworth and Ryan Mayer for your engagement and support
